About Black Film
The first black films were mostly of race movies produced in the early parts of the twentieth century. These films sharing were mainly black and were produced with black audiences in mind, with the aim of creating a more accurate representation of black people to that seen in early white film. The most prominent producer of the Oscar Micheaux film was black.
Oscar formed his own film production company and between 1919 and 1948 independently released more than forty films black. first black film Oscar was the 1919 silent film "The Homesteader," was the first film production to create black and made a cast and crew. Eddie Murphy was the main star of Beverly Hills Cop franchise, while Danny Glover co-starred in the Lethal Weapon series of movies. Denzel Washington was the major black actor of the day and won best actor Oscar for his role in the glory of black cinema in 1989. most influential directors: Spike Lee, Mario Van Peebles and John Singleton left its mark. Black films covering science fiction, fantasy, romance, culture, hip hop and other genres gave black players more freedom than ever before.
Oscar wins by Halle Berry and Jamie Foxx show appreciation for even more black films and black actors / actresses in the 21st century. Black film makers like Tyler Perry continue the tradition of the movie cast mainly black with black. However, a major feature films ethnically diverse models offers the greatest opportunity for black actors and an opportunity to perform other functions that are not typical stereotype roles.
After facing numerous rejection of major studios, Black directors, writers, producers and actors are creating their own production companies for the promotion and the light green of their own black films that are building Web sites, and turning to social networks and black film festivals as a way to network and gain exhibition of black films.
