Is it necessary to treat my fence?
Installer I have a fence, privacy fence made of pressure treated pine 6 feet. It cost a lot dollars, but now the guy who wants to give me charge more to seal it or say that deform when wet. Why not tell me before?! I budgeted for the fence, but do not have the extra $ 700 to seal it now, if the wood is not going to be destroyed safely? How much time is needed to deform? I'm thinking to be in this house for 5 years and then sell it. Should I try to seal myself or is a great job? Thanks for the replies!
I have a wooden fence and privacy I did not put anything in it to seal it. I've had in July 2003. That would seal, but could never find the time. Some councils are starting to warp a bit. Only had become very lean to the side very badly, but not replaced. (I can not see, is in my neighbors side.) The fence as a whole does not look bad. So you can pass without doing anything to it.
