My dog sheds constantly?
My dog sheds constantly. It is an American Foxhound, and it seems a bit much for his race. I use it a FURminator every couple of days to a normal plastic comb every day. He takes a bath every two or three weeks, more often if we go to dog park in the mud or something. It's in top quality food (Blue Buffalo Lamb adults), and has never been in another food. It is roughly two years of age. What I can do to avoid getting skin around my hands every time you pet, or to prevent me from having to vacuum the furniture and sweep the floors every day or two? Magical solutions, or I'm pretty stuck with this?
Bathing should be done once a month, unless it is dirty. Bathe less frequently. This is time of year for dogs to blow their coats, so probably stuck with this. You could see a vet if you are concerned.
