I Need Expert Rabbit Color ID please?
We California (meat) does (some of which are pets.) I have not could not find a good ball from California, so I crossed with a New Zealand dollar. This is a common meat mestizo, and often results in good meat rabbits. One of our not had a litter of 7 kits. One of the kits is a beautiful color. He / She is about 2 weeks old and has a habit of dark spots in California nose, ears, feet. Skin is the body is white, but some of the hairs are at odds with gray / blue. It's a great effect, although not a recognized color. Me wondered if this was just the baby's skin that could change color, or whether it will be permanent. Are there other breeds of rabbits in this color? I think this baby will be a pet! My daughter is in love with her. Thanks for your advice. I'll try to post a photo if I have time.
The Californian Breen is derived partly from the race of Himalaya. Some Californians will gray coat, especially when they are babies. Usually means that the rabbit has nice dark points (nose, ears, tail and feet.) will tend to clarify that the rabbit is older. The darkness of a California brands depends in part on the cold and darkness. Some rabbits when they are babies and fall on the wire when they are young and it is cold, you can actually see the cable lines as they grow. If you want meat rabbits good, look at the width and length of the spine. Search also in the fullness or roudness of the hindquarters. The middle section and hindquarters is where you can really notice the difference in meat production. A good meat rabbit feels like it has a lead weight in the stomach. A poor rabbit meat will feel like you have air in the stomach. The rabbit may appear more lighter large, but the way in which the stomach is a very good indication. Put two rabbits of approximately the same size on a weight scale and see what I mean. The size of the Loing makes a big difference. He also brought to New Zealand for several years. That is partly how I can keep my big New Zealand and the higher weight category. Otherwise the risk of rabbits is too small a performance tour and get disqualified.
