Kilimanjaro Small
I want to climb Kilimanjaro, but do not want to go on a guided climb, can anyone give me some suggestions?
I wanted to climb the mountain for some time, however, I will not go into one of those climbing tours. Not spending that is not a problem, but I feel that a rise rise ruins guided real to me. I want to do everything alpine style, ie it would be self-sufficient, carrying all my own equipment and supplies. I do not like the idea of having someone else carry my stuff for me, especially when doing so little as they are for what they are doing. So I guess what I'm looking for is someone who has climbed Kilimanjaro before and is an experienced mountaineer who all want to potentially get a small group together for the promotion. I tried searching in Google, but I only get ads mountain guide companies, and that's not what I want. Anyone have any suggestions?
I have been working in the bush. Kilimanjaro for ten years, and talked with a number of people with their concerns. Unfortunately, due to the way the government of Tanzania has established climbing trips, which must go up the trip with a business-oriented. No way around it. I'm sure you could hire a company, and have guides standing behind you, do not say anything, but that's the only way you could organize a trip. In regard to your statement about gatekeepers, "making as little as they are for what they do," this is really true. Carriers in the bush. Kilimanjaro love the work, and the love of money. They earn more money on a eight-day trip to the Western Gap in the Kilimanjaro, then they would in a month of work on the farm. Tourism dollars help support the community. I have been working with goalkeepers for many years and have personally seen the effects. As soon as to the guidelines, if you really want an experience of mountaineering, despite everything you need a guide to up Western Gap. It would not be able to find the way if snows. If you are looking for an "alpine-style climbing, I recommend the Western Breach, the only way to climb the mountain.
