Large Furminator
St. Bernard shed?
Ok so my San Bernardo is shedding like crazy … I mean its just the hang of it, I wondered if this is normal or what we think may be not what she's getting enough nutrients …. we feed Iams large race …. Ive been your brushing (with a reg. Brush dog) for about an hour, I know the FURminator would be better, but we can not afford right now 
… we had one and loved it, but do not have more …. so having a St. Bernard with her hair falling only (really terrible) is this normal?? We have a new baby comes in a couple of days so Im trying to get the hair under control: (
this is a heavy shedding dog that we hope knew before he did. I have a Shiba Inu and he sheds also excessive. I feed a grain free food taste of the wild (cheaper than IAMS) is better quality than Iams … but you can only find in a store Pet. It is assumed that no grain food aid can help in preventing the dumping. You can only get this food in a smaller pet store (I do not think Petco or PetSmart carries this brand.) If switch, make it very gradually to prevent upset stomach, gas and diarrhea … change gradually over a period 2 weeks. Other than that, you can try adding a bit of Capula Lipiderm (these are sold over the counter in pet stores and salmon, contain oil and other vitamins) and can prevent hepatitis shed. Anyway, this dog will always shed to some degree. Good luck!
