How do I wire a 3V lithium battery when a circuit does not have a final positive or negative?

I have a 3V lithium button cell. In watches and things, is only found in the top of a plate, but if only one side can be connected to, how I can create a circuit of a single point Battery?

The two sides of the battery are + and – polarity. If not checked can be checked with a voltmeter. The best way to hook it up is to use one battery holder size coin cell. Keystone Electronics makes these (link below). Also at Digi-Key (the second link.) Even Radio Shack sells the bond (third) for a couple of popular sizes as the CR2032.
