Medium Deshedding
"I can use my FURminator deShedding tool while giving my dog a bath?
I have a border collie / lab / mix of gold and sheds a little, so I bought half FURminator deShedding tool (which works great) and wanted to know if it would work better if used while giving a bath. I lost the instruction manual that came with it telling me if I could use while my dog is still wet. if you know the answer please help! (: Thank you.
Not supposed to use it, while the dog is wet. The dog must be completely dry before using deShedding tool. I give my dog a bath, dry it completely, then brush will get rid of knots (for the deshedder not remove) and then use deShedding tool. This article talks about the instructions. Does not specifically say not to use on the skin moist, but the instructions say in bold my FURminator large, do not use it when hair is wet dog.
