Dog leashes or leads are an extremely essential training tool or even just care and general welfare for your dog. If you use a leash for dogs that will take long walks or just use it to teach your dog right from wrong in the comfort in their backyard, a place is always a major purchase you and your dog.
As a dog owner and a consumer, the choice of dog leads / leashes is as might be expected, huge. With so many options and variations, the choice of lead or leash to use can be a challenge bigger than the actual training of your dog.
What are the different types of cables and straps? Well trust me there are thousands out there to choose, I'll just go through a few of the most popular types of the belt as I'm sure there are many different types of potential customers who are brought to market every week and would be an impossible task to track all of them.
In the next part of this article first pass through the different types of lead then finish with my views and personal preferences.
The extension takes
These do exactly what they say, 'extend' far from the owners for some distance before running out of slack. With these leashes the owner has control over when to stop further enlargement head and can be used as a normal leash if necessary.
Slip leads
These leads are a simple type of lead with a loop on both sides and usually with adjustable clip on the end that tightens when pulled or loosens the dog's neck for comfort when there is no hitch. Used by many for dog training.
Nylon leads
It is the cheapest option lead dog, the easiest way dog belt available, often causing rubbing and digging into the skin of your dog. Nylon Straps are best avoided.
Bungee leads
This leads help to eliminate the slack that is another cause for your dog not to trip over the leash and pulling the arm there is less of a dog in the training process.
Leather leads
This is a popular type of lead that is comfortable for your dog and gives you total control of how far your dog can only wonder. A nice feature for training, but can be tiring on your arm if your dog tends to try to get around.
My Conclusion
It is the preference of the coach on hand at the end of the day but I feel leather straps are best for me and show your dog very gentle authority when starting to train. Let your dog wonder too far to walk can give your dog too much freedom and opportunity to misbehave.
If you are interested in training then I'd go for a leather lead to begin with, if you just I like walking in the park or your dog behaves well, then maybe I could opt for an extendable leash.
