Man Purse Revisited
I honestly do not know what all the fuss. So your man carries a purse? What is a girl to do? There is one thing very important, right? From the episode where Jerry Seinfeld begins a "European Carry-all" bag man has found truth its place in popular culture. That particular episode is by far my favorite.
The man who brought Jerry wallet was pretty nice. I mean, if you will take to a bag that must be nice. Although the episode caused a lot of laughter, he mentioned some interesting points. For example, why men feel so uncomfortable call a purse a purse? Handbag designers take note! One day in the not too distant future, the market for bags man is going to explode. That's my prediction, so worth it.
I think the biggest challenge for designers to overcome when approaching this untapped market, is the marketing angle. How sell one bag a man traditionally feminine traditionally insecure? If designers can get the "marketing mix" just right, which could reap huge sales. Man in the bag? Murs? European Carry-all? Whatever!
At this point, many progressive men and adventurers have begun to test water. Although more common in Europe, many men can be seen in major metropolitan areas of America proudly wearing their Murs. And no, not that kind with pride! And if I hear the name Metrosexual again, I'm a Freak Out!
To be honest, I'm sorry for the brave men out there. In the world of feminine fashion We have a number of designers to choose from. We also have dozens of shapes, sizes, colors and materials to explore. Murs most I've seen have been clear, simple leather. I think that a company like Dolce & Gabbana could lead the way for other designers. Those guys are extravagant and masculine at once. Would so difficult for them to incorporate these principles into a well-crafted, handsome Murs?
Would not It Be Nice, ladies, if man could carry makeup or a mobile phone? Do we dare to dream of a day when your partner comes to Murs and pass us a tissue in one of those terribly depressing girl movies we all know and love? Imagine the possibilities. I recently convinced my boyfriend to try one out. Only I have to spend more time reassuring him of his manhood. No big deal …
