Other breeds of dog in the movies and TV series?
Seen the movie Beverly Hills Chihuahua today and that's a pretty good movie. Do not get me wrong chihuahuas are cute dogs, but I got tired of breeds such as Golden Retrievers, Huskies, German Shepherds, etc. .. get the spotlight in film and television. When the Beagle One won best of show at the 2008 Westminster Kennel Club dog show, it was nice to see a beagle get the spotlight (I have a I) had failed to see 'justifying dog was tired of winning poodles. Not that I do not hate absolutely none of these races, but it would be nice to see another race have a moment, anyone else think? There are many breeds of dog out there that are as big as the hound of Sweden and some other rare breeds.
The races do in the movies are the ones who like to work, are docile and are easy to train. Foxhounds do not tend to fit that profile. If you want to see the different breeds, see a dog show. If you want to see good actors dog, expect to see the breeds that are commonly used as working dogs because what is needed to carry out behaviors at the right time and in their brands. Note that most of the actual performance in Beverly Hills Chihuahua was realized by the German shepherd and Doberman, not, Chihuahua most of which seemed just cute for the camera.
